Garage Clean-Out Costa Mesa, CA

A garage clean-out in Costa Mesa rarely involves just one or two things. More often, it’s shelves of boxes, an old workbench, a broken dryer, leftover tile from a remodel and a couple of bald tires in the corner. Costa Mesa Sanitary District customers do get a free large item collection program, but each pickup is limited to 10 items, and the list of things it won’t take includes building materials and tires. For a packed garage, that usually means several pickups spread over weeks or months.

Doctor Junk Removal takes a different approach. We bring a truck and a crew, clear the garage in one trip, and take the materials the curbside program leaves behind. Plus, we carry everything out ourselves, so nothing has to sit at the curb waiting for a truck.

Before we load anything, we go over what stays and what goes. Then we get to work, and when we’re finished, the floor gets swept.

Common Garage Items We Remove in Costa Mesa

• Leftover project materials: tile, flooring, drywall scraps, lumber, old doors and cabinets
• Tires: car tires with or without rims (see our tire disposal service)
• Garage appliances: spare refrigerators, chest freezers, washers, dryers, water heaters
• Storage clutter: moving boxes, plastic bins, holiday decor, old toys, clothing
• Shelving and workbenches: metal racks, freestanding cabinets, pegboards
• Sports and beach gear: bikes, surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, camping equipment
• Fitness equipment: treadmills, stationary bikes, benches and weights

Items That Need a Different Drop-Off

Unfortunately, we can’t haul hazardous waste such as wet paint, motor oil, solvents, pool chemicals or propane tanks. Fortunately, OC Waste & Recycling accepts household hazardous waste for free at its collection centers, and the closest ones to Costa Mesa are in Huntington Beach and Irvine. Meanwhile, we’ll leave those items set aside so they’re easy to take in.
