Cypress Bulky Item Pickup: Only Two Left This Year
Cypress bulky item pickup allows up to four free collections a year for single-family homes, with ten items each. There is a catch on the count worth checking before you plan.
Four a Year, But Check What Is Left
The program is structured for up to four collections annually. However, the allowance for the remainder of 2026 has been set at two rather than four.
So confirm your remaining balance when you call rather than assuming four. It is an easy question to ask and an awkward thing to discover on collection day.
Houses Get Ten Items, Apartments Get Four
Single-family homes may set out up to ten items per collection, which is a workable number for clearing a room or a section of garage.
Multifamily properties get four items per unit, arranged through the property manager or the HOA rather than booked directly. Consequently, if you rent, the first call is to the office rather than to the hauler.
Book 48 Hours Ahead
Valley Vista handles collection in Cypress, and bookings need to be made at least 48 hours before your trash day.
Electronic waste is collected separately from the bulky program, so televisions, monitors and computers are arranged as their own pickup. That separation is good news, because it means e-waste does not consume a bulky collection.
What Is Not Accepted
Construction and demolition debris falls outside the program. Remodel material, drywall, tile and lumber need another route.
Household hazardous waste is excluded as well. Paint, solvents, pesticides and motor oil go to a county collection facility, and OC Waste and Recycling publishes the locations.
A City of Postwar Tracts
Cypress incorporated in 1956, and much of its housing stock reflects that era: single-story tract homes with attached garages and modest side yards.
Those garages are where decades of belongings end up. Meanwhile, ten items per visit is generous for a room refresh and slow for a garage that has been filling since the 1990s.
Remember too that the crew collects from the curb. Therefore, every item has to make the trip from the garage to the street under your own power.
What We Remove in Cypress
Our Cypress crews cover furniture removal, appliance removal, garage cleanouts, home cleanouts, hot tub removal, mattress removal and hoarder cleanouts. Same-day and next-day appointments run seven days a week.
When the Program Will Not Cover It
Three situations, reliably.
You have used your collections. With only two available for the rest of the year, that happens sooner than expected.
The job is a full cleanout. A garage or estate clearance runs to dozens of items on a single day.
It is too heavy to move. Hot tubs, pianos, water heaters and upstairs furniture are not two-person carries.
We handle all three. Our crews run junk removal in Cypress seven days a week, usually same day or next day, and we do the carrying.
Use the collections you have left. Call us for the rest.
