Aliso Viejo Bulky Item Pickup: If It Fits Two People

Aliso Viejo bulky item pickup works on a rule rather than a number. If an item will not fit in your automated carts, it counts as bulky, and CR&R will collect it provided a two-person crew can manage it.

The city does not publish an annual cap or a per-load item limit. Therefore, the practical question here is weight, not arithmetic.

The Two-Person Rule

This is the whole test. Items must be manageable by a two-person crew.

So a couch, a desk, a chair, a table, a mattress or a pile of excess green waste is straightforward. Meanwhile, a hot tub, a piano, a full-size safe or a solid-wood armoire is not, no matter how many times you call.

Consequently, the things most people genuinely need help with are precisely the things the free program cannot take.

Appliances and E-Waste Are Included

White goods are collected in much the same way as bulky items. That covers refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, washers, dryers, air conditioners and water heaters, including units containing Freon.

Electronic waste is also collected, and it is illegal to put it in your carts. Monitors, televisions, computers, cell phones and keyboards all go through CR&R instead.

Both are arranged on the same call, which keeps things simple.

How to Book

Call CR&R customer service at 877-728-0446 to arrange a curbside pickup of bulky items, white goods or e-waste.

List what you have when you call. Crews work from the ticket, so an unmentioned item tends to stay where it is.

The city publishes its service guides on the Aliso Viejo solid waste and recycling page, and the same phone number and rules apply to apartments.

What Is Not Accepted

Household hazardous waste needs a county facility rather than the curb. Paint, solvents, pesticides and motor oil all belong there, and OC Waste and Recycling lists the locations and hours.

Construction and demolition debris is generally outside bulky programs too, so a remodel needs its own plan.

Master-Planned, and Built Upward

Aliso Viejo became a city in 2001 and was master-planned throughout. A great deal of its housing is condominiums, townhomes and attached properties.

That shapes removal. Stairs to a second or third floor, shared walkways, narrow garage entries and association rules about what can sit outside are all common. Meanwhile, the collection is curbside.

What We Remove in Aliso Viejo

Our Aliso Viejo crews cover furniture removal, appliance removal, garage cleanouts, home cleanouts, hot tub removal, mattress removal and hoarder cleanouts. Same-day and next-day appointments run seven days a week.

When Two People Are Not Enough

The item is too heavy. Hot tubs, pianos and safes fall outside the rule by design.

It is upstairs. Nobody carries a sectional down from a third-floor condo for you.

It is a whole home. A cleanout or a move-out is dozens of items on a deadline.

We cover all three. Our crews handle junk removal in Aliso Viejo seven days a week, usually same day or next day, and we bring enough people for the job.

Use CR&R for what two people can lift. Call us for everything heavier.
